PRODUCT INFORMATION

BASIC INFORMATION
All of our light fixtures are rated as 120-volt, AC. Each
fixture comes complete with all hardware required for installation. In order to keep our prices and shipping costs as low as possible, some lights require minor
assembly, usually not requiring more than 30 minutes to an hour to complete. Avalanche Ranch Light Company reserves the right to make minor improvements to the
products presented in this catalog in order to better serve the needs of our users. Accordingly, some products, along with their respective specifications, may
change during the life of this catalog.
UL Approval:
All of our lights are UL Listed for US and Canadian markets, which means that we follow rigid standards developed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). These standards
include: using UL approved parts and components, following prescribed construction and wiring guidelines and having monthly UL tests and inspections. Using UL approved
lights is important not only for safety reasons, but also to meet local building codes. Only those fixtures indicated as exterior lights are UL approved for wet locations,
which means they can be used either outdoors or indoors. All other fixtures are approved for indoor locations or an outdoor location protected from direct rain (i.e. “a damp” location.) All our fixtures come with a “C-UL Listed” label.
Item Numbers:
An item number consists of a product number, shade material choice (if applicable), hanging choice (if applicable), and a finish choice. This information must be provided when ordering.
Dimensions:
We round dimensions off to the nearest inch. Thus, measurements will vary slightly from what is presented within each product description. We also reserve the right to make minor alterations to a design to improve the light.
H - Fixture body height (excluding chain that runs from the fixture to the ceiling, where applicable)
W - Fixture body width (excluding shade)
D - Diameter of fixture body
TM - Top of fixture to center of mounting point for wall fixtures
L - Length of fixture for island lights.
Bulb Types:
Bulbs are generally not included in any light fixture unless otherwise noted. Although maximum Wattages are shown in the product descriptions, lower Watt bulbs may be used.
A19 Standard medium-base household bulbs
A21 Standard medium-base household bulb
A21-3way Standard medium-base household bulb for a portable lamp.
B11: Medium-base torpedo style bulb
C: Candelabra base bulb
G4: Halogen Bulb, low voltage
GU10: Halogen Reflector Bulb (included with fixture)
G16: Candelabra base, globe style bulb
G20: Candelabra base, globe style bulb
JD: Halogen bulb for E11 base
PAR20: Medium-base reflector bulb
T10: Tubular Medium Base
GU24: Compact Fluorescent with Electronic Ballast
13W = 60W Incandescent Equivalent
18W = 75W Incandescent Equivalent
26W = 100W Incandescent Equivalent
Compact Fluorescent (CF):
For meeting the latest building code requirements in commercial applications, we can build many of our fixtures to include permanent, hard-wired electronic compact fluorescent ballasts and photometric cells. For the standard compact fluorescent option of 10% additional charge, the fixture will be wired to use GU24 base compact fluorescent bulbs in 13W, 18W and 26W depending on the fixture. Using this option will also make the fixture Energy Star Compliant. For applications requiring 120V four pin compact fluorescent socket or high power factor 277V ballast, please contact us for a custom quote.
For residential applications without special building code restrictions, we recommend using the screw-in fluorescent bulbs which are now made to replace an A19, B11 or even reflector bulbs without difficulty.
FINISH CHOICES
We offer 17 finish choices for our lights, but not all finish colors are available for every fixture. See individual product's page on the
website for color availability. In most cases, we can make finish substitutions or combinations not shown on a product's page, please contact
us for possibilities and pricing.
Finishes beginning with the number “0” are hand-applied rust patina finishes which are proprietary finishes only found with our lights. Each
light is unique in appearance. All other finishes are textured powder coated finishes which are hand applied by us. Most of these colors were
created by us and cannot be found anywhere else. Click on this link to see our all finish

SHADE MATERIAL CHOICES
Some fixtures require a diffuser or lampshade selection to be made from the choices presented in the product information. If the fixture comes only with the shade presented, then this information will be blank.
Almond or Amber Mica:
Both the Almond (AL) and Amber (AM) mica we use is composed of two naturally occurring materials: mica plate and shellac. Therefore, the color and intensity is highly variable and adds to its uniqueness. The mica at .015 inches thick is fairly sturdy under normal use and easy to clean. We also lacquer coat the mica to protect its surface.
Ivory Paper:
This handmade material has a rough texture which gives the fixture a soft look. It is backed with styrene which adds rigidity.
Morus Paper:
This handmade material has a rough texture which gives the fixture a soft look. It is backed with styrene which adds rigidity.
GLASS CHOICES
Some fixtures require a glass shade selection to be made from the choices presented in the product information. If the fixture comes only with the glass presented, then this information will be blank. Replacement glass sold separately is shown under accessories.
Frost Clear Glass (FC):
This is clear glass which has been sandblasted or acid-etched to give it a frosted look. Sandblasted glass is given a clear coat to protect the surface.
Tea-Stained Glass (TS):
This glass has a tea-stain color and an acid-etched finish.
Two-Toned Amber Glass (TT):
This glass is a two-toned amber and cream color with an acid-etched finish.
Opal White Glass (OW):
This is a white glass which has been acid-etched.
Amber Swirl Glass (AS):
This glass has amber swirl and cream tones throughout with an acid-etched finish.
PENDANT HANGING CHOICES
There is a choice of three ways to hang our pendants. All include a matching ceiling canopy that can be mounted on either a flat or vaulted ceiling. Note: Only one hanging choice per pendant. These are not sold separately.
Adjustable Stem (ST):
A telescoping stem with an adjustment range of 15 (min.) to 30 (max.) inches. To increase this stem length beyond 30 inches, up to a maximum of about 12 feet, order one of the Single Stem Extension Kits - see accessories.
Black Cord (BC):
A 14 foot black cord that can be cut down to any length. Longer black cord is not available.
Chain (CH):
Includes 3 feet of chain. To increase the chain length beyond 3 feet, up to a maximum of approx. 12 feet, order one or more accessory Kit CK450 - see accessories.
LAMPSHADE CHOICES
For any fixture which uses a lampshade, including sconces, chandeliers, and portable lamps, we have included an Oil Parchment lampshade. This is a natural looking material that compliments any of our finishes. In addition to the standard lampshade, we offer, for an additional charge, a Bark Paper shade with Brown Rawhide lacing or Ivory Paper with Barb Wire. All these choices are presented in the respective product ordering pages.
PRODUCT OPTIONS & ACCESSORIES
(Extra Charges Apply)
For certain fixtures, there are other options and accessories that will be presented on the product detail page. The following section describes these options and accessories. Note: These options and accessories are not available for every fixture, only when indicated in the individual product descriptions. Prices shown are list prices.
Acrylic Option:
This option is available for selected fixtures. We offer three colors of acrylic; White (WA), Amber (AA) and Beige (BA). All three are sandblasted and coated for protection. Additional 10% charge.
Deep Pan Option (DP):
Specify this option when ordering the Sehome Sconce on page 40 for the deep mounting pan option. This option is recommended when the installation location is not flat. Additional $15 charge.
Glass Bowl Option – Denali:
For converting to a Glass Bowl (FC) on Denali Chandeliers, Foyers and Semi-flush. Deduction of $30.
Mica Option – Denali:
For converting to Almond (AL) or Amber (AM) Mica on Denali Chandeliers, Foyers and Semi-flush. Additional $50 charge.
Mica Option for Keystone:
For converting to Almond (AL) or Amber(AM) Mica on Keystone Chandeliers, Foyers and Semi-flush. Additional $75 charge.
Switch Option (SW):
Specify this option to add an on/off switch to any sconce. Depending on the fixture, this switch will be a turn knob either on the backplate or built into the socket. Additional $15 charge.
Plug-in Option (P):
This option is available for selected wall fixtures. It includes a 8’ brown or black power cord with a plug. If the fixture does not already have a switch, then the cord will have one. Applies where indicated in product descriptions. Not for use on exterior locations. Additional $25 charge.
Reverse Image Option (R):
Specify this option when ordering for selected fixtures and we will reverse image the entire fixture. Only available where indicated in product descriptions. Additional 10% charge.
Wisley Downlight Option (DL3 or DL4):
Adds low voltage downlights to selected fixtures and must be specified at time of order. Additional charge of $150 to $200.
Compact Fluorescent (CF) Option:
For meeting the latest building code requirements in residential and commercial applications, we can build many of our fixtures to include permanent, hard-wired electronic compact fluorescent ballasts and photometric cells. Specify this option when ordering for selected fixtures and we will replace the incandescent socket(s) and the fixture will be wired to use GU24 base compact fluorescent bulbs in 13W, 18W and 26W depending on the fixture. Using this option will also make the fixture Energy Star Compliant. For applications requiring 120V four pin compact fluorescent socket or high power factor 277V ballast, please contact us for a custom quote. Bottom 3D Cone Kit (BC466):
This is a decorative feature that can be added to certain lights where noted. Specify finish color when ordering. Only available where indicated in product descriptions. $40

Swag Kit (CK410):
Swag Kit includes two ceiling hooks, 9 feet of chain and a plug. Please specify finish color when ordering. $36
Vaulted Ceiling Kit - (CK420):
Vaulted ceiling Kit, which converts a flat ceiling mount fixture to one that can be hung from a vaulted ceiling. Please specify series and finish color when ordering, for example, CK420-A489-27 means a Vaulted Ceiling Kit for a Ridgemont Semi-flush series in Rustic Brown Finish. $18
Vaulted Ceiling Kit - Chain Billiard (CK421):
This Kit is for converting the Chain Billiard lights to one that can be hung from a vaulted ceiling. It includes a 3’ chain, plate and canopy. Please specify finish color when ordering. $48
Vaulted Ceiling Kit - Double Stem (CK422):
Square vaulted ceiling Kit, which converts a double stem, flat ceiling mount fixture to one that can be hung from a vaulted ceiling. Please specify finish color when ordering. $48
Extra Chain Kit (CK450):
Extra three feet of chain. All chain drop fixtures are shipped with 3’ of chain. In order to accommodate higher than normal ceiling heights, we supply an extra 10’ of lead wire on all hanging fixtures, for a total of 13’ of wire. This means you can order up to 3 of these kits for wiring included with the fixture. Please specify finish color when ordering. $12
Direct Mount Ceiling Kit (CK470):
Direct mount ceiling Kit, which can convert chain hung foyers and chandeliers into one that can be mounted to a flat ceiling. Please specify series, e.g., CK470-A403 is for the Crestline Chandelier Small, and finish color when ordering. $30
Top Diffuser Kit (CK480):
For select chandeliers and foyers, this kit consists of a removable diffuser for the top of the bowl to shield the bulbs from view from above. The kit includes an Almond mica shade and all necessary mounting hardware. Please specify series when ordering. $50
Post Mount Pedestal Kit (EK520):
Includes 4 screws for mounting our post mount light to a pillar or fence. Please specify finish color when ordering. $30
Bottom Cattail Kit for Mirror (MK730):
This is a decorative option for the mirror frames. Please specify finish color when ordering. $24
